Thornley Family, Penvale Lodges

Meet your hosts, Gina, Andrew and Victoria Thornley – who also own Woodland Park Lodges, Shropshire.

Time together is not a luxury; it is what makes us human and what makes us happy – but today’s modern ‘always-on’ world is giving us less and less opportunity to truly connect with each other.

We believe in the importance of togetherness, so have created a special, intimate place, here in the beautiful mountains of North Wales, that you can retreat to and enjoy uninterrupted time with the ones you love.

Our story

Penvale Lodges, like sister site Woodland Park Lodges, is a true family business: owned and run by mum and dad, Andrew and Gina, along with their daughter, Victoria. They are supported on-site by a wonderful and friendly team from the local area: Park Manager, Leoni, and Rob, who looks after the upkeep and maintenance of the site.

The family fell in love with Penvale Lodges and its incredible pine-clad vale location after a visit to Llangollen. Soon after, they took over the site to breathe new life and luxury into each of the wooden lodges.

Today, Penvale Lodges is a reflection of their desire to share the incredible beauty of this part of North Wales with guests. And, at the same time, give people a place of serenity where they can rekindle relationships, deepen bonds and share mutual interest.
