Beyond Llangollen, North Wales opens up into wide valleys, rugged mountains and rolling farmland. The Horseshoe Pass is a short drive up the valley from Penvale Lodges. Whilst to the west of Penvale lies Snowdonia National Park (Eyri National Park) with famous peaks such as Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) Mountain, Cadair Idris and the Glyderau – all reachable for an incredible day trip.
